Artopex Plus Inc. is a manufacturer of quality mid-market office furniture for today's value-conscious market. Their competitive position is unique: some of the best laminate and metal products on the market, coupled with matching systems and seating products to offer one-stop shopping at great prices.

The company started in 1948 as Bonnex Metal Company, producing metal lockers for industrial and educational facilities. In the 1970's Bonnex merged with two other furniture makers to become Artopex Inc, adding casegoods and seating products to its line-up.

The 1980's saw Artopex becoming the first office furniture manufacturer in North America to use modern thermal-fused laminate with matching PVC edging for casegoods. In 1993 Artopex was bought by the Pro Furniture Company, and adding the "Plus" to the Artopex name to indicate an expanded array of products. The company's investment in leading technology continued in the 1990's with the acquisition of unique high-tech computerized manufacturing equipment.

Today the company's commitment to advanced technology means great products at great prices. Artopex Plus is 100% privately owned and has annual sales of $55 million. The product line includes the industry-leading "TakeOff" laminate collection, as well as 6 metal lateral file and storage series, 3 matching systems furniture series and 12 series of seating, all manufactured in 3 production facilities totalling 380,000 square feet in the Montreal Canada area.

In terms of distribution, Artopex Plus supports the market through a network of independent representatives selling exclusively through furniture dealerships.

Artopex purchased Standard Desk In 2007.
